Catch a Dream is an exciting and eclectic 4-piece ensemble that performs original guitar and vocal driven music with classic folk, blues, and rock influences. The band also performs some covers to augment their sets ranging from the Blues, to Neil Young and Jack Bruce.  

Band leader and main songwriter Doug Marsh, a Vancouver native and longtime Austin resident, says the band's music focuses on a positive approach to life – and this optimism is instantly apparent in the group's driving melodies and introspective lyrics. This acoustic electric band deftly blends various guitars by Doug Marsh and Richard Parke (occasional fiddle by Richard) anchored by the solid rhythm section of Charlie DiMaggio on drums and Brandt McClelland on bass.

These two Gents plus Richard have played around different bands for years:  Charlie’s strong classic rock, New York influence lends his deft ear to strong vocal arrangements (Charlie produced the latest release “All that Matters”); Brandt has played from Hill’s Café to Cedar Park and many spots in between; Richard has been in bands from Philly to Cal. Besides the strong songwriting and musicianship, Catch a Dream's distinguishing characteristics include the compelling and intense three-part vocal harmonies of Marsh and fellow vocalists Brandt and Charlie.
